ZT: Subject: Seeking proposals for the Elsevier Foundation's Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries Program
We are very pleased to announce that the Elsevier Foundation is again seeking proposals for grants under our program for Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries, which is focused on improving the capacity of developing world libraries through training, infrastructure, technology, digitization and preservation of STM information.
We would very much appreciate your ideas of institutions in the developing world -- or their partners and supporters in the developed world -- who should be aware of this opportunity. Interested organizations can also get more information at http://www.elsevierfoundation.org, including a summary of past grantees. Please feel free to send this information on to any of your contacts who might find this of interest or let me know if there are others who should receive it.
Grants for both programs will be awarded competitively, based on an independent review and the guidelines. As noted in the attached, grant proposals are requested by no later than September 1, 2008. Grants will be awarded in December 2008.
Sincerely,
David Ruth
